Nokia N9

Nokia is one the leading company in the mobile phone technology but from a couple of years their market is going down. So they had to come up with an exceptionally an amazing phone which could create miracles for them and indeed they brought out such smartphones. Nokia N9 is among those phones by Nokia. It is a touchscreen phone having 8MP camera and 1GHz processor. This smartphone was a quitter successful for the Nokia but not enough to bring back Nokia’s old reputation.  It is very beautifully designed in metallic alloy body. It is quite handy and looks great in handling in hand and in the pocket.
(you can buy this mobile from Here)

Nokia N9 have AMOLED capacitive touch screen having approx. 16 million colors, providing the user to have a good touch with a quite simple but impressive display. Nokia N9 is featuring OS MeeGo v1.2 Harmattan. It has three display screens and a notification bar at the top. MeeGo OS allows the multi-tasking. Nokia N9 has 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor. When this phone was released this processor was considered to be very fast and accurate. Now many fast performing dual and quad core processors have been introduced in the smartphone industry. However, this Cortex A8 processor with 1GHz processing speed is quite fast and it allows multi-tasking on the single touch. It has 1GB RAM plus 16/64 GB internal memory.

Nokia N9 has the efficient 8 mega pixel camera having Carl Zeiss lens along with auto focus. Camera is supported with dual LED flash. Overall its picture quality is very good. It has different picture and capture moods which enhances its camera quality. Nokia N9 camera provide video recording at 720p at 30 frames per second (fps), but its quality is not so impressive. It could provide a better video recording with this camera but somehow it is a bit behind the other smartphone cameras.

Now there are some questions that design of Nokia N9 is feasible? Its OS MeeGO can be considered as good OS for the Nokia smartphones? Simple answers to these questions are yes. Nokia came out with a good design for a smartphone like Nokia N9. OS MeeGo is preferable for the Nokia phones. It came out as a good OS for Nokia after the Symbian OS. It is a good phone but somehow trend is shifting towards Windows and Android phones and it might not be easy to create a space for the Nokia N9 in the market. It has to come up with some outstanding apps which can easily cover up Android or Windows phone fear.

Nokia Asha 303

Nokia is bringing out new range of smartphones that are quite handy aiming the youth and emerging market in very affordable price. Nokia Asha 303 is among such phones. Though its specs are not too impressive but still there are already many loyal followers of Nokia who believes in this phone and using it.
(you can buy this mobile from Here)

Nokia Asha 303 feels pretty good in hand owing to its curved back and tapered back. 2.6 inch touchable screen with QWETRY keypad gives Nokia Asha 303 a quite impressive and attractive look. It is built in metallic body but still it is very light weight.  The top of the mobile is reserved for the audio jack port and charging port. Volume rocker and lock is present on the right side of the mobile.

For the 1st time capacitive touch screen technology has been used in the S40 mobiles. The screen resolution is 240x320. Its display is not so impressive; its pixel density is 154ppi. Display having such resolution and pixel density is not considered to be impressive now-a-days.

There are no spaces between the keys in the keyboard. All keys are sort of connected to each other which makes typing a bit difficult. The keyboard also feels a bit plasticky, non-existent key spaces don’t give a good impression. Overall you cannot call your typing experience very comfortable.

Its interface has been improved a lot if we compare it to the old nightmarish series 40 smartphones. Its touch has been improved quite decently. Screen is very responsive. So on small touch you can access whatever you want. The menu is provided with big icons. Its big icons give a slight look of Symbian Belle OS. Despite having 1GHz processor, Nokia Asha 303 doesn’t support multi-tasking.  It is considered to be the draw-backs of the Nokia Asha 303.

Nokia Asha has 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with a quite good quality. You can easily adjust white balance and exposure. There are also many funny frames provided, face recognition and few effects also.
Finally I would say it is an average QWETRY phone by Nokia. Its touch has been improved a lot by introducing capacitive touch screen technology. There are many things which are needed to be improved in this smartphone.

Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia, being the pioneers in the mobile phone industries, from start focused smartphones with keypad. They didn’t focus much on the touch phones but somehow they had to change their strategy owing to changing trends in smartphone industry. New trend is mostly related to the touch phone and recently Nokia has released some good touch phones. One of them is Nokia Lumia 900. Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the best smartphones in the market. Nokia needed such a phone badly, owing to changing trends and sales of the Nokia was going down a bit. Lumia 900 can create drastic changes in the market and it can give a good profit to the Nokia.
Some of the notable specifications of the Nokia Lumia 900 are:
·         Screen size: 4.3 inches
·         Multitouch, AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
·         16million plus colors
·         180 x 800 pixels, ~217 ppi
·         16 GB memory, 512 MB RAM
·          Camera: 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash
·         OS: Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
·         Processor: single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8055 processor, Adreno 705
·         Video:  720p@30fps, video stabilization
Its design almost same to the previous phone in the Lumia family i.e. Lumia 800. Only there is a bit differenced in the size. Lumia 900 is a bit larger than Lumia 800. As Lumia features Windows OS, there is a Windows at the bottom of the screen as the Menu button.Owing to its big display and pixel density, Lumia 900 provides you with an awesome display. Its interface is quite handy. Windows OS Mango is providing same interface as they provided in the previous smartphones. There is no difference in the interface though it is quite handy and easy to use.
(you can buy this mobile from Here)

Nokia Lumia 900 is featuring single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8055 processor along with 512 MB RAM. Now-a-days smartphone industry is working with dual core and quad core processors but Nokia came up with single core processor. It is a very big flaw of the Lumia 900 thus it reduces its speed a bit. Also Lumia 900 has 16GB of hard disk and for such a huge memory; Nokia should have use a higher processor for better working and processing speed. Lumia is featuring 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, so the picture quality is quite good. It also allows you to record video in full HD i.e. 720p. Carl Zeiss lens gives a good result with flash so you can get a quality image from the Lumia 900.

Finally by discussing all these features and qualities, I can say that Nokia Lumia 900 is a good phone and it can come up with good results in the market but it doesn’t have such a wow factor which it can make it outstanding and difference creating phone.
