Ever since Apple
released the 3rd edition of the iPad i.e. iPad3 every other company
is trying to come up with such a design which can overcome iPad3 in features
and performance. Samsung worked on this strategy in somewhat different way. It
released the 2nd edition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 i.e. Samsung
Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 having some basic and hardcore features of Galaxy tabs plus
some new and Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It has great advantage of low price
over the iPad3 which is quite expensive and somewhat not affordable by
everyone.

Its build and design is
somewhat can be considered as its drawback. Its outlook and plastic grey design
is almost similar to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab. Its design is not as
attractive Tab 10.1 and Tab 8.9 by Samsung. Volume rocker and power button are
present at the right edge of the tablet and audio jack is present at the top of
the tablet. It is slightly lighter than original Galaxy tab but heavier than
tab 10.1 and 8.9. Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 screen size is 7inch having screen
resolution of 1024 x 600. It was expected that its screen and display result
would be better than Tab 8.9 but it wasn’t. Its display
struggles to match with the display of Tab 8.9.
There is a dedicated
button which allows the quick access to the music player, quick apps launcher,
alarm, email, and calendar. There is a bit annoying feature in Tab 2 7.0 which
is there is a games toolbar present at the bottom which doesn’t hide and
remains present at the screen. It is featuring 1GHz dual core processor. It
works fine but it faces some graphical problems playing games on it. Tab 2 7.0
doesn’t have a good camera. It is featuring camera having 3MP it is without LED
flash. It is one of the major drawbacks of this tablet. Samsung claims that its
battery is 7hours while you can do browsing, playing games or watch movies.
This tablet is not as
good as the previous ones from the Samsung. Even it can’t be considered it to
be among best tablets. But if you are looking for the tablet having price range
maximum of $350 then it is good option.
